Geschenkcheque (Belgium)
Belgian gift voucher that is exempt from social contributions and withholding tax up to €40 per employee per qualifying occasion (Saint Nicholas, Christmas, anniversary, retirement).
Belgian social-security (RSZ/ONSS) recognises geschenkcheques at Saint Nicholas, Christmas and New Year up to €40 per employee, with an additional €40 per dependent child for Saint Nicholas vouchers.
For a wedding or retirement, €245 per event applies. For service anniversaries (25 or 35 years) separate caps apply. Above the caps the amount counts as wages and both employer and employee owe contributions.
Required: the voucher must be clearly non-redeemable for cash and usable only for consumer goods. Multi-brand gift.cards vouchers qualify.
